The Guiding County of Argyll does not conform to the boundaries of Argyll and Bute Council but encompasses the lands between Cowal in the east and the Atlantic Ocean in the west and from Appin in the North to Kintyre in the South. The Southern Hebrides from Coll & Tiree in the North to Islay in the South also form part of the County. The County does not contain any Divisions but has eight Districts, each with a District Commissioner heading a District Team.
